12 questions to prepare
01Tell me about yourself.
What they are checking: Whether you can shape a story. They want a 90-second arc that ends at why you are in this room, not your life history.

02Walk me through your CV.
What they are checking: Whether your moves have a logic. They are listening for the reason behind each change, not the dates.

03What are you looking for in your next role?
What they are checking: Whether what you want is what this job is. A mismatch here is the cheapest rejection they will ever make.
Opening
04Why do you want to work here?
What they are checking: Whether you have read anything beyond the job title. Specifics about the product, the market or a recent announcement beat enthusiasm every time.
Motivation and fit
05Why are you leaving your current job?
What they are checking: How you talk about people who are not in the room. The content matters less than whether you stay fair.
Motivation and fit
06Where do you see yourself in five years?
What they are checking: Whether this role is a step on your path or a holding pattern while you look.
Motivation and fit
07What do you know about what we do?
What they are checking: Preparation, in the most literal sense. Thirty seconds of research shows.
Motivation and fit
08Tell me about a time you disagreed with a colleague. What happened?
What they are checking: Whether you can hold a position without making it personal, and whether you ever change your mind.
Behavioural
09Describe a time you failed. What did you do next?
What they are checking: Whether you own it. A failure that turns out to be someone else's fault is a failed answer.
Behavioural

What they are checking: How you choose what to drop. Everyone works hard; they want to see you prioritise.

What they are checking: Whether you can move things that you do not control. The core senior skill.
Behavioural
12Tell me about a time you received difficult feedback.
What they are checking: Whether feedback reaches you. They are listening for what you actually changed afterwards.

The part that actually changes the outcome
Now say it out loud.
Reading a question is not preparing for it. Say your answer out loud to an AI interviewer that pushes back, and find the gaps while they are still free to fix.
Rehearse it freeQuestions about this tool
- Where do these questions come from?
- They are the questions that recur across interviews for the role family and stage you pick, written the way an interviewer actually says them. Each one is paired with what the interviewer is checking underneath, which is the part that changes how you should answer.
- Is it free, and do I need an account?
- It is free and there is no sign-up. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.
- Will these be the exact questions in my interview?
- No tool can promise that. These are the ones most likely to come up, and preparing them covers most of what an interviewer can ask, because most questions are variations on the same few things they need to find out.
- What should I do with the list?
- Say your answers out loud rather than reading them. Most people find their answer falls apart the first time they hear it, which is exactly the point of rehearsing before the real thing.
